Before moving to Camden, Casey was a lifelong resident of the Shreveport-Bossier City area. He graduated from Evangel Christian Academy in 2002. After high school, Casey attended Louisiana Tech University where he completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in General Studies with an emphasis in Computer Applications. After graduation in 2006, he married the love of his life, Hannah Nicholls, a Registered Nurse and homemaker extraordinaire. Together, they have three sons, Carter, Jude, and Weston, and two daughters, Eden Elise and Willow Elshaday.
While working on his masters, Casey worked as a Consulting Engineer until graduation in July 2012. He finished with a Master of Divinity degree in Biblical Languages from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. After graduation, he served as a senior pastor in Bossier City, LA until September 9th, 2015, when he accepted the call to pastor the First Baptist Church of Camden, Arkansas. In addition to his ministerial work, he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Biblical Interpretation with Minors in Theology and Ethics from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Casey also serves as an adjunct instructor in Old Testament, New Testament, Comparative Religion, and Philosophy at Southern Arkansas University Tech.
When Casey is not spending time with my family or ministering at First Baptist, he enjoys hunting, fishing, woodworking, reading, writing, gardening, playing guitar, and playing golf.
