FBC Camden has a rich history in the state of Arkansas dating back to its inception in 1842. With a long and treasured history of serving the Camden community, Ouachita County, and the state of Arkansas, the historic FBC Camden campus is located in the heart of downtown Camden, Arkansas at the corner of Washington St. and California Ave. FBC Camden has been home to thousands of believer over the past 180+ years. FBC Camden is biblically-founded, Jesus-following, and people-loving community that seeks to point people towards the one and only true God.

STEPHEN WATSON

LEAD PASTOR

Stephen grew up in Central Arkansas and then attended Ouachita Baptist University before starting his journey in local ministry. Pastor Stephen has twenty years of ministry experience leading people to love Jesus. Over the past three years, he has led FBC Camden through the process of enrichment and revitalization. Dr. Watson also serves as an adjunct professor in the Pruet School of Christian Studies at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.

The mission of FBC Camden is to glorify God by making disciples through the gospel of Jesus Christ. God’s mission and the mission of His Church are inseparably linked. If God’s mission is to be glorified through the redemption and reconciliation of a people, the Church’s mission must orient around the glory of God and seek to glorify Him through redemption and reconciliation.

EMPOWERED TRANSFORMATION

Our vision is to be a church of grace-filled people, empowered for community transformation and new church formation, so that the Gospel is faithfully transferred from person to person and generation to generation.

INTENTIONAL COMMUNITY

Life Groups are an essential part of our church, as they provide a place where deeper fellowship and better support for one another can take place. Considering that the early church worshipped in large settings - in the synagogues - as well as in homes, we unite together similarly in order to be in deeper fellowship with God and one another.

WORSHIP

We love music. Expect to hear everything from hymns to the most recent contemporary music you hear on the radio. We use music to show our Lord how much we love and honor Him.
